French conical pendulum cast metal 8 days, time and strike, mantel clock, musical motif, c1880
CONDITION:
this unusually small example of a rare style retains its original finish with some wear. The porcelain chapter ring has some hairlines, and we can view the front movement plate. The unsigned movement has count wheel and bell striking every half hour. There never was a front or rear case door, as it would have been displayed under a glass dome. . We were able to make the pendulum operate but the movement should be professionally serviced. Ht 14"
